Well if beating your last 15 opponents in a row, and taking out bunch of very well known fighters in the process doesn't get you into the UFC, nothing will... Glover Teixeira has finally landed in the UFC, after initially being blocked by visa issues, it looks like one of the worlds best Heavyweights has now signed with the worlds biggest MMA promotion.
"My goal is to reach the top 10," said Teixeira, who's trained with Chuck Liddell and John Hackleman in California. "I'll fight anywhere, for any promotion, against anyone. I want to keep my rhythm going. The UFC has the best talent in the world. I want to be the best in the world. Because of that, the UFC is my first choice, my dream."
mmajunkie.com has confirmed the signing and also reports that Teixeira's first fight should be sometime in the summer. Possibly Sao Paulo?
Teixeira who's 17-2, hasn't lost a fight in six years and rides a 15 fight win streak into the Octagon. The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt has defeated notable fighters such as Ricco Rodriguez, Marvin Eastman, and Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou.
