After weeks of speculation it seems M-1 Global has finally found somebody to put in the ring with the former number one ranked heavyweight as Fedor Emelianenko now meets Pedro Rizzo. Although it isn't a match-up anybody was hoping for, but this is what we've come to expect from M-1 Global as of late.
M-1's Evgeni Kogan tweeted the news just a short time ago:

In a clash of PRIDE FC veterans, the two will square off at the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg Russia on June 21 as part the the M-1 hosted event.
Rizzo hasn't fought since 2010, but has won his last 3 fights, although not against very competitive competition, Rizzo's last 2 fights were against Gary Goodridge and Ken Shamrock in that order, not exactly a murder's row, but more like the seniors tour.
Sadly this isn't the greatest match up for Fedor, actually it's a pretty awful one, and it certainly won't help him climb the ladder to respectability again either, Rolles Gracie or Bobby Lashley would have been better choices. This is yet another easy fight for Fedor, and another hand picked opponent by M-1.
Fedor has rebounded from his 3 fight losing streak in Strikeforce where he went a dismal 1-3 in his 4 fights for the promotion, since then he has racked up wins against Jeff Monson and most recently on new years eve Satoshi Ishii, both fights were easy wins for Fedor.
