At UFC 145 both Travis Browne and Ben Rothwell made a statement in their wins that evening and Both fighters walked away with Bonuses, Rothwell took home $65,000 for his KO of the Night performance versus Brendan Schaub and Browne walked away the submission of the night bonus of $65,000 for submitting Chad Griggs.
The UFC announced the match-up today via UFC.com.
Brown looked very impressive in his fight at UFC 145, requiring only 2:29 to dispatch Griggs. But Browne's cardio issues are still a question mark, and a quick win like that unfortunately didn't show any of us if that has improved. Browne can only hope to finish all his opponents in the 1st round, but eventually his cardio will be tested again, and it will likely be tested against a super tough Ben Rothwell who will definitely be Brownes stiffest test of his career.
Rothwell showed up for UFC 145 in likely the best shape of his career, he came in toned and very fit, no longer showing the bit of flab he used to carry around his waist. He looked like he was taking his career very, very seriously again and it showed in his performance. Knocking out a very highly touted Brendan Schaub in only 1:10 proved to many fans that he's not longer satisfied with being the UFC's heavyweight gatekeeper.
