Jon Jones not worried about Dan Henderson's knockout power

Dominant UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones will be taking on  Strikeforce light-heavyweight champion and notable knockout punher Dan Henderson on September 1st. Although Dan Henderson has knocked out 45% of his opponents in victory Jon Jones says he isn't worried about Henderson's 'H-Bomb' or left hook.

"No, I'm not worried about the 'H-bomb.' I fought Ryan Bader. He had an amazing overhand right. I think he won The Ultimate Fighter with that overhand right. Rashad Evans ended up knocking out Chuck Liddell with his overhand right. Mauricio 'Shogun' had an awesome overhand right." Jones said on MMA Uncencered Live. "I'm just not worried about it. It's a single technique that I'm prepared for, extensively. 'Hendo' actually has a good left hook, as well, so, I'm not worried about single strikes."

Jon Jones will be looking to make an even bigger statement when he returns to the Octagon. A win over Henderson could mean he has cleared out the light-heavyweight division and may only have one or two more challengers in the division. Jones is already looked at as one of the greatest in the world today and beating another MMA legend in Dan Henderson could solidify that claim.

It will be interesting to see what happens as the athletic and technical champion takes on the agressive and heavy handed challenger on September 1st which is likely to take place at UFC 151. The location of this event is unknown at this momment. For more news, updates, and rumors on all things MMA stay connected with www.MMAMATRIX.com.
