
A report released earlier today claims that Ultimate Fighter Coach and Bantamweight Champion Domenic Cruz has been forced to withdraw from his title fight with Urijah Faber due to a torn ACL.
According the the website phytegurrs.com Cruz sustained the torn ACL, likely in training for his fight with Faber. Whether or not the fight will be cancelled altogether and re-booked for another date has yet to be confirmed with the UFC, and the same goes with this report about the Injury.
Faber may very well stay on the card, and fight for the interim title considering Cruz’s ACL injury will likely knock him out of action for the remainder of the year. So there is no point for Faber to sit around and wait, and there is no point holding up the title that long. So expect a interim fight at some point if not at UFC 148.
