Former Bellator lightweight champion and highly regarded as one of the best lightweights in the world Eddie Alvarez may be making his UFC debut sooner than expected as the alleged free agent has been rumored to be in talks with Lorenzo Fertitta and the UFC about making his inevitable debut in the promotion.
The impressive knockout puncher is coming off of the biggest win of his career avenging a 2008 loss to Shinya Aoki with a first round knockout over the Japanese submission machine. Now 8-1 in his last nine fights Alvarez could be making his long over-due debut inside the Octagon, as far as possible opponents go it appears he is heavily rumored for a battle with Anthony Pettis at UFC 150.
It will be interesting to see if Eddie Alvarez does indeed sign with the UFC although he has stated his desire to fight the best in the world in the past he has also seemed rather optimistic about going to the promotion when asked about it in the past. At this moment there has been no official announcement to whether Alvarez will be making his UFC debut or who his opponent will be if so, for more news on the matter stay connected with www.MMAMATRIX.com.
