The Ultimate Fighter season 14 winner John Dodson suffered a hand injury in the first round of his recent unanimous decision win over the impressive Tim Elliott at UFC on FOX 3. Now Dodson has revealed that the injury will put him out of action for the next six or seven weeks.
“I already saw the doctor. They said I’m out for about six or seven weeks and I’ll be good." Dodson said via MMAweekly.com "I just want to take it however the UFC gives me because I’m not going to sit there and tell people I want a title shot. I’m not going to sit there and say I want it now. I want to fight. That’s the only thing that’s ever mattered to me.”
Now 2-0 inside of the Octagon and riding high on a four fight win streak it will be interesting to see what the UFC has in store for "The Magician" in his next bout. Dodson won TUF 14 in the Bantamweight division picking up a 135-pound win over Alpha Male's TJ Dillishaw. Now in his more natural weight class of 125-pounds, Dodson will be looking to earn his way to the top of the division once his hand is healed up again.
