UFC Officials announced today that a featherweight fight between Michihiro Omigawa (12-10-1) and British fighter Jason Young (8-4) has been added to UFC 138 U.K. Card.
This will be a free card offered on Spike via same-day tape delay. Omigawa vs, Young is expected to be part of the preliminary card.
but no announcement as to the fights placement has been confirmed.
Omigawa is looking for his 1st win in the octagon in his second stint with the UFC, after the very controversial unanimous-decision loss to Elkins at UFC 131 the UFC president Dana White criticized the judging and awarded Omigawa his win bonus anyway. That was the least they could do after such a brutal decision, which pretty much cements the problem with judging in MMA.
Jason Young most recently suffered a unanimous-decision loss in that octagon debut to Dustin Poirier and now likely fights for his future in the organization.
Hopefuly the UFC will give him 3 losses before he is cut as he looked very good against Dustin Poirier where some have argued he should have won the fight.
