M-1 strips Vinny Magalhaes Light Heavyweight title, Magalhaes sells his M-1 belt on Ebay

m-1 belt

ADCC and BJJ champion, ex-Ultimate Fighter contestant and M-1 Light Heavyweight Champion Vinny Magalhaes has been publicly feuding with the promotion for a couple of months now. Recently things came to a head when M-1 stripped Magalhaes of his Light Heavyweight title, Magalhaes responded in a very unique way, sticking it to the very cash strapped promotion.

Magalhaes decided that if Evgeni Kogan wanted his belt back, he could bid for it like anyone else, so Magalhaes placed it up for auction on eBay, the belt is listed on a 10 day auction and currently the bids are up to a $5,150 at the time of writing this article. 51 bids have currently been placed on the item. With 9 days left, I wouldn’t be surprised this belt fetches $10,000+ 9 days from now. Oh and I forgot to mention, free shipping!!

Magalhaes took to twitter to announce his displeasure with M-1 and to let Kogan know that if he wanted his belt back, he could bid for it.

Magalhaes claims that his contract is up in July and is hoping to fight sometime in September. As to what promotion he’ll end up with remains to be seen, Maybe Dana would like to stick it to the “crazy Russian’s” one more time and hire him when he becomes available.
