After battering his opponent at UFC on FUEL 3 Donald Cerrone will now be hoping to fight in front of his home town crowed in Denver, Colorado at the upcoming UFC 150. It appears Cerrone will be targeting a fight with another top level lightweight fighter like Anthony Pettis as he looks to work his way back into the title picture.

“That’d be a good match-up. Stylistically it would work out perfectly for me." Cerrone said at the post fight press conference when asked about a possible bout with Pettis. "He’ll stand and want to fight, try to take me down, and then I’ll beat him up. We’ll keep fighting. It’d be a good fight, especially for Denver.”

With a 5-1 record in the UFC and winning seven of his last eight fights Cerrone could make his case for a title shot as he looks to continue his impressive run and pick up back-to-back wins with a win in his next bout.

Holding a record of 2-1 in his UFC career Anthony Pettis will be looking to return to his former glory with a big name win inside of the octagon, which he has yet to capture after losing his first UFC bout to Clay Guida. 6-1 in his last seven fights Pettis will be looking to prove himself title worthy with his first big UFC win.
