Herman will be the third opponent that Nelson has been set to face after two injuries forced previous opponents out.

With the UFC's first all heavyweight main-card at UFC 146 the once very stacked card has been filled with many injuries leading up to the event which has changed the landscape of UFC 146 drastically. Nelson was originally slatted to take on Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva but he had to pull out due to injury, than he was set to face off against Gabrial Gonzaga but he got injured too, maybe the third time will be the charm for Nelson as he is now set to take on Dave Herman.

"Big Country" Roy Nelson will be looking to get his UFC career back on track after going a disappointing 3-3 in his first six UFC fights. With an impressive performance at UFC 146 Roy Nelson could get back to his winning ways as he hopes to pick up some much needed momentum and bounce back from his devastating loss to Fabricio Werdum.

Since entering the UFC the controversial Dave Herman has gone 1-1 both fights ending in a TKO.
