The injury bug has hit the UFC once again. Hector Lombard, who was set to face Brian Stann at UFC on FOX 4 until Stann got hurt, will now be fighting at UFC 149 replacing Michael Bisping against Tim Boetsch.
The news is a huge bummer for fans who were really looking forward to seeing the two knockout artist in Brian Stann and Hector Lombard square off on FOX TV. Instead the Judo Olyimpian will be headed to Calgary, Alberta, Canada to fight Tim Boetsch on July 21st.
Coming off of a huge comeback upset win over Yushin Okami, Tim Boetsch will be looking to pick up the biggest win of his career as he takes on the former dominant Bellator middleweight champion. Boetsch is currently riding high on a three fight win streak going undefeated at 3-0 since moving to the middleweight division.
Currently on a 25-fight undefeated streak Hector Lombard will be looking to make a statement as he makes his UFC debut as he attempts to make his case for a shot at a bout with Anderson Silva for the UFC middleweight crown. With 31 wins 17 coming by way of knockout and 7 by submission it is no secret that Lombard will be looking for a big finish in his debut.
