Two more fights were officially announced yesterday for the upcoming Strikeforce Rockhold vs. Kennedy event on July 14. Jorge Masvidal vs. Justin Wilcox and Ryan Couture vs. Joe Duarte are now official for the event.
Masvidal is coming off a Lightweight championship title fight loss to Gilbert Melendez back in December and Justin Wilcox , who represents the famed American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose is also looking to rebound from a loss, losing to Caros Fodor back at the same Strikeforce event in December where he got knocked out in only 13 seconds.
Ryan Couture is looking to now go 5-1 in his young career, Couture last fought on back in March against Conor Huen where he defeated Huen via TKO (punches) late in the 3rd round. Couture is now set to face off against 10-2 Joe Duarte who is currently riding a 5 fight win streak, Duarte most recently defeated Jorge Gurgel back in August of 2011, defeating the Strikeforce and UFC veteran via unanimous decision.
