According to reports, the UFC is returning to England in September, and the main event will likley be Stevan Struve vs. Stipe Miocic who have reportedly verbally agreed to the matchup.
ESPN in the United Kingdom initially reported the news on Friday. Struve was initially set to face Mark Hunt at UFC 146, but due to an injury to Hunt, he was eventually matched up with Lavar Johnson.
Struve is 5-1 in his last 6 fights and is currently on a 3 fight win streak where he most recently dispatched Lavar Johnson in only 1:05 via armbar, the submission earned Struve submission of the night honors as well.
Miocic will be bringing his undefeated 9-0 (3-0 in UFC) record into the octagon against what will be his toughest test in his career. In Miocic's 9 wins he has TKO/KO'd 7 of his opponents, and with Struve, he always seems to get rocked in every fight, it could play into Miocic's game, although if Struve can take him down, it will be uncharted territory for the heavy handed striker.
