Roland Delorme who was briefly linked to possible fight vs. Bibiano Fernandes at UFC 149 before it was revealed that Fernandes had not actually signed any contract with the UFC as of yet is now going to be part of the card in Calgary.

The news was confirmed by sources close to mmajunkie.com

So as it turns out the UFC have decided to give the Canadian a fight on the Calgary card, but this time it’s against a fighter who actually is signed and under contract with the UFC, Delorme will now face Francisco Rivera on what will likely be preliminary card fight.

Delorme who is a TUF veteran has won 2 fights in a row in the UFC, most recently dispatching a very highly touted Nick Denis at UFC on Fox: Diaz vs. Miller via submission (choke) last month.

Francisco Rivera was canned by the zuffa after losing 2 fights in a row, one in the WEC and another in the UFC, since he was cut, Rivera put together an impressive 2 fight win streak where he KO’ed both of his opponents in the1st round, requiring a total of only 1:55 in both fights. Rivera was called back the UFC to fight Alex Soto at UFC on Fuel TV: Korean Zombie vs. Poirier last month where he beat Soto via unanimous decision.
