It didn’t take long for Travis Browne to be matched up again since being left off of the UFC on FOX 4 event Against Ben Rothwell on August 4th.
The UFC officially announced today that Antonio Silva vs. Travis brown will headline the upcoming UFC on FX 5 card in Minneapolis, Minnesota October 5.
The undefeated Browne last fought in April at UFC 145 were he submitted Chad Griggs via arm triangle choke in the first round. Since his draw against Chieck Kongo back in 2010, Browne has put together a 3 fight win streak. Of his 13 fights Brown has only gone the distance only 3 times.
Since Silva stunned the world and TKO’d Fedor back in 2011, he has had a tough run since transferring over to the UFC from Strikeforce. Losing both of his fights, 2 in a row. Silva will definitely be looking to walk away with a win here and stop his losing streak at 2 fights against the Hawaiian Browne.
UFC on FX 5 is booked for October 5th 2012 at The Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
