Will Nick Diaz return to fighting after his suspension has been served? Or will Diaz stay on the path of retirement that he chose after his unanimous decision loss to Carlos Condit in a interim welterweight title fight back in February at UFC 143.
Well we will certainly discover his plans for his future after his press conference today at 4pm Pacific Time. 7pm Eastern Time.
Diaz ws suspended after the Condit bout because of Cannabis metabolites found in his system via a NSAC drug screen. The 12 month suspension was back-dated to the day of the Condit fight making Diazunable to return to action until February of 2013, the 12 month suspension was rather harsh considering Alistair Overeem was only suspended for 9 months for failing a steroid test with a 14:1 T/E levels.
Will he return? my bet is yes he will, Diaz is a fighter to his very core, i just can;t see Diaz being satisfied with retirement, and he likely hasn't made enough to do so either.
We shall see soon enough though. If he comes back, who do you think he should face next? If he wasn't returning in February i'd say he should move up to middleweight and try and get a shot at Silva, i personally think that would be an absolutely insane fight, regardless if he earned it or not.
What do you all think?
