Rumor has it that Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem will be making his octagon debut at UFC 140 in December. His opponent could be former UFC heavyweight champion and wrestling powerhouse Brock Lesnar who will be looking to make his return after a long lay off.

Although it is only a rumor it is still and intruging possibility as the most notable heavyweight striker in the division will take on the most notable powerhouse wrestler in the division. This would be a dream match up for many MMA fans.

A source close to the situation from mmabay has reavealed the news earlier today. UFC 140 is slatted to take place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and it would be a classic card if these two were to headline the event.

It will be interesting to see what happens as Overeem has been in talks with the UFC recently and Lesnar has recently recovered from his life threatning illness. This would be one of the (If not the) most anticipated cards of the year if this rumor is infact true.
