It appears that the long awaited, long discussed and often dismissed as a fight that will never happen now has new life. According to UFC president Dana White, the UFC has big plans for their middleweight kingpin in 2013, although, it appears that Silva may only be fighting twice this year.

UFC president revealed during a UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche question and answer session prior to the official weigh-ins on Friday their plans for their three most popular champions.

“GSP is going to defend his title against Nick Diaz.  Anderson Silva will defend his title this summer, and before the end of this year we will soon see a superfight with either GSP and Anderson Silva, or Anderson Silva and Jon Jones, One of them is coming.” Said White.

When asked where the "superfight" might happen, White said:

“If we end up doing a superfight with Anderson and GSP, it will be in a big arena somewhere.  It will either be in Vegas, out here in L.A.  It could be Texas.  It could be Canada.  It could be Brazil."

So there we go, thats some pretty big news really, as this is likely the first time that White has officially put a timeline on either of these possible superfights between Jon Jones/GSP and Silva.
