Jose Aldo vs. Anthony Pettis is on again after the featherweight champion had soured on the idea of fighting another lightweight with zero fights at featherweight, and for the title.
Aldo feels the other guys already in the division have been fighting for have earned a shot and believes it's unfair to be giving away title shots while deserving fighters wait. Aldo then Said he would fight Pettis, but not for the title.
Aldo does have a good point, there are some fighters that are close or are worthy of a shot right now that will now have no chance of fighting for a featherweight title until 2014 with the Aldo vs. Pettis fight slated for late summer. Although hands down the most exciting option is Pettis.
Aldo's posturing may have possible gotten him more money and a big opportunity as Dana White confirmed via his twitter account, the fight is now official and for the title.
Yes Aldo vs Pettis and it's for Aldo's UFC 145lb title

According to White the deal he struck with the champ is that he will get a lightweight title shot with a win over Pettis at a yet to be named, but quite likely to be a PPV event that is targeted for August 4th 2013.
