Strikeforce imports Tim Kennedy and Roger Gracie are looking like they will be doing battle at UFC on FX 8 in Brazil on May 18th according to Brazilian MMA website, but due to Gracies wife being pregnant and due around that time, he has agreed to fight on July 6th vs. Tim Kennedy
Brazilian outlet Porto de Vale Tudo Confirms the match up, date and location. Which is again not May 18th in Brazil as it was originally reported by another Brazilian MMA news website earlier today. UFC officials however have not confirmed the fight as of yet.
Both fighter's have put together fairly successful runs in Strikeforce where Gracie held a 4-1 record and Kennedy held a decent 4-2 record.
The two middleweights now appear set to clash on Brazilian soil on May 18th at UFC on FX 8.
Kennedy who is 15-4 is currently 3-1 in his last 4 fights where he most recently defeated Trevor Smith via submission in the middle of January at Strikeforces farewell event.
Roger gracie who is a highly decorated BJJ champion is currently riding a 2 fight win streak, most recently defeating Anthony Smith via submission at the very same Strikeforce Farewell event back on January 12th.
