Three fighters were suspended today due to failed drug tests, 1 for steroids, 1 for stimulants and one for  marijuana metabolites.

UFC heavyweight Levar Johnson failed his UFC 157 drug test for high levels of testosterone which have indicated steroids use resulting in a probable 6-12 month suspension and fine. Since Johnson lost his fight to Brendan Schaub no change to the fights outsome will need to be made. Shaub's win will stand.

UFC on Fuel TV 8 competitor Rikki Fukuda was popped for testing positive for the banned stimulants phenylpropanolamine, norpseudoephedrine and ephedrine. He has since confirmed his release via his twitter account, which his training partner Jon Fitch then responded to Fukuda's tweet by asking him to come sign with the World Series of Fighting.

The most surprising, at least to this writer is Alex Carceres who was busted for testing positive for marijuana metabolites. Caceres has been suspended for six months and has agreed to attend rehabilitation classes. Upon completion of the rehabilitation classes, Caceres will have to pass a drug test before he can be cleared to compete again in the octagon.

Caceres defeated Kyung Ho Kang on the UFC on Fuel TV 8 undercard with a extremely controversial split decision victory in which many felt he lost. According to the official release Caceres' win over Kang has now been changed to a no-contest.
