Clay Guida is coming off of a big win over former WEC lightweight champion and UFC contender Anthony 'Showtime' Pettis, and is waiting to find out what his next challenge is.

Guida recently spoke to fans in Milwaukee prior to UFC on Versus 5 about a myriad of subjects, including the fact that while he walks around at only about 165 pounds, he has no intentions of cutting down to featherweight any time soon.

“Once I get my lightweight belt, then maybe I’ll think about going down to featherweight,” said Guida. “Until then, I’m here to get my gold.”

While he’s still awaiting word on an opponent, Guida is open to any fight the UFC gives him. He’s just ready to compete and get closer towards the ultimate goal of winning the UFC lightweight belt.

“Nothing scheduled yet, our phone’s always on,” Guida commented.

Guida goes on to talk about a potential rematch with Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez, as well as the moments he remembers most since becoming a professional fighter several years ago.
