The smaller quicker fighter reigned supreme over the bigger more powerful fighter tonight as Dos Santos dominated Shane Carwin on route to a dominate unanimous decision win. Earning Dos Santos a title shot against current champion Cain Velasquez

“That’s awesome [that I’m getting a title shot],”Dos Santos said. “Much respect for Cain Velasquez. Cain, I’m coming for you.”

Prior to the fight Shane Carwin never went to a decision ending all of his wins in the first round and only going to the second round against Brock Lesnar. Dos Santos picked Carwin apart with technically sound boxing that tore right threw the skin of Carwin and stopped him from doing anything during the fight.

Showing his versatility in the third round of the bout Dos Santos displayed the wrestling he had been working on getting two powerful takedowns on the Division 2 wrestling champion and defending Carwin's attempted takedowns throughout the fight.

Now undefeated in the UFC with seven wins Dos Santos will be looking to earn himself some gold as he steps into the Cage with UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez in a five round bout for the championship.
