Dana White overrules decision, gives Omigawa his win bonus.

UFC featherweight competitor Michihiro Omigawa (12-10-1) loss a highly controversial decision to Darren Elkins (12-2) in a battle many thought Omigawa won handily. UFC president Dana White says something has to be done about the judging in Mixed Martial Arts because it has gotten out of hand.

“Something has to be done about the judging. It’s so bad. Not only does it affect people’s lives, it ruins everything for people that are watching." White stated. "You watch it and you’re like ‘what? 30-27, what fight were you watching? Now we’ve got TV screens for them. What the fuck? You’ve got a TV screen, how did you judge that 30-27?”

Disappointed with the decision, Omigawa did not want to leave the UFC octagon until complaining about a decision that should have clearly went to him. Dana White says the decision is overruled by him and he will be giving Omigawa his win bonus for winning the fight despite what the judges said.

“Then you’ve got the Omigawa fight, where this guy loses the fight and Joe Silva said he was pulling a (Kazushi) Sakuraba and wasn’t going to leave the Octagon. He was going to stay in there, Joe had to beg him to leave." White said."We’re going to pay him his win money. I don’t care what the judge said, he won the fight. I say he won, overruled.”
