Rich Franklin has been a UFC fighter for a long time, he started his career with the worlds biggest MMA promotion way back at UFC 50 in 2004 were he submitted Jorge Rivera in the 3rd round of his debut, Franklin went on to win his first 6 fights in the UFC and captured the UFC middleweight title in his 4th UFC fight defeating the late Evan Tanner at UFC 53 for the title.

Longtime UFC heavyweight fighter Cheick Kongo has been rumored to being cut from the UFC after his contract expired and his page was taken down from the UFC website, but Kongo says you shouldn't believe everything you hear and until proven otherwise he is still a UFC fighter.
